International Legal Forum: UCJ Attends 13th Forum in Russia

Myanmar delegation led by the Union Chief Justice U Tha Htay attended the 13th International Legal Forum of the Asia-Pacific Region from September 21 to 24 in St. Petersburg of the Russian Federation, invited by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Russian Federation.

On the morning of September 21, the Union Chief Justice attended bilateral meeting with the Acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Mr.Yuri Ivanenko and held discussions to strengthen bilateral judicial cooperation between Supreme Court of the Union, Myanmar and Supreme Court of Russian Federation including the signing of a memorandum of understanding on judicial cooperation.

The Union Chief Justice and delegation attended the “Welcome Reception” hosted by H.E Mr. Yuri Ivanenko, the Acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Russian, which was held at the building of the Third General Jurisdiction Court of Cassation on the night of September 21.

During the Forum, representatives discussed on a variety of topics in the Forum sessions related to Tax Law, Customs Law, Competition Law, and Intellectual Property Law.
