






Union Minister for Cooperation and Rural Development, U Hla Moe, accompanied by relevant officials, inspected the Integrated Farming Project owned by the Cooperative Society in Thuhtaykon Village, Pyinmana Township, within the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory on January 20. First, the Union Minister and party arrived at the multi-purpose farm where they inspected the cultivation of 15 acres of Russian sunflower varieties.
The project includes five acres each of three specific varieties: MAKHAON KLP , VULKAN , and IPPOLIT . After officials briefed him on the progress of the plantation, the Union Minister gave necessary instructions to cooperative member farmers and responsible staff to systematically clear weeds and ensure timely irrigation to maximize crop yields, apply fertilizers systematically according to the specific requirements and schedules of each sunflower variety, adhere strictly to agricultural protocols to achieve target yields and maintain systematic records of every stage of the process, from the initial planting date to the final harvest.
The Union Minister and officials then inspected the preparations of poultry houses intended for the breeding of 4,000 broiler chickens. Following a briefing by officials on the operational setup, the Union Minister emphasized that once the chicks arrive, staff must prioritize disease prevention and ensure optimal growth rates. He further instructed them to maintain a continuous cycle of breeding, establish firm market linkages for distribution, and closely monitor the animals’ health and development, it’ reported.
