Instruction Releases: No Ads Stickers Allowed On YBS Buses And City Taxis

No advertisement sticker is allowed to put on the passenger buses and city taxis according to the new instruction by Yangon Region Government. 

The Regional Government released instruction, addressing to the Yangon Region Public Transport Committee (YRTC) and Road Transport Administration Department.

According to the instruction, the advertisement stickers are not allowed to put on the passenger buses of YBS companies, and City Taxis as it could affect on the image of the city.

Lyan Cin Mang, Joint Secretary, Yangon Region Public Transport Committee said “We can see there are many ads stickers on the passenger buses lately with the permission of the Road Transport Administration Department. But these ads stickers are not in conformity with the city’s characteristics. We check YBS license renewal once a year. And also YRTC releases instruction not to put ads stickers on vehicles.”

It is learnt that license renewal will be permitted only when the vehicles removed the advertisement stickers.
