Inspections: Yangon Mayor Inspects Water Storage, Thingyan Preparations

Chairman of the Yangon City Development Committee Yangon Mayor U Bo Htay and officials on Wednesday inspected water storage condition in the 100,000-gallon RC Ground Tank in front of the City Hall in Kyauktada Township.

There, the Mayor called on officials to store more water for reserve. The Mayor also inspected construction of the main pandal for Thingyan Water Festival and stressed quality construction with traditional artworks. The annual Thingyan Water Festival was not held for two years for COVID-19 prevention and control. This year, Thingyan Water Festival in Yangon will include walking Thingyan.
