Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, accompanied by officials, visited No. 3Basic Education High School in Meiktila Township, Mandalay Region, on July 14. During the visit, they inspected the issuance of National Registration Cards (NRCs) and Unique Identification (UID) registration for students aged 10 and above, under the La Min Project.

They also observed blood type testing, student screening procedures, the process of issuing citizenship documents and UID collection through the e-ID system for students who already hold (NRCs).

The Union Minister and officials then presented processed NRCs and UIDs to eligible students under the One Stop Service program. They also provided cash assistance and foodstuff to township immigration office staff and distributed nutritious snacks to students.

Later, the Union Minister met with district and township immigration officials from Meiktila and Yamethin districts at Kantaw Mingalar Hall in Meiktila. He discussed the successful implementation of the NRCs and UID collection and issuance project and urged staff to follow civil service rules, serve the public with sincerity and maintain unity.

The Union Minister also visited the Meiktila Township Officer Office. He further inspected the process of issuing NRCs and UIDs to people aged 18 and above who had not yet received identity documents, reviewed office records and coordinated necessary arrangements with officials and locals.
