






Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than visited the Crown Cement Plant in NaungCho Township of Shan State. There, the Union Minister called for efforts to revive the industries which use local raw materials, quality production and quality control.
He also coordinated the matters presented. The Union Minister continued his inspection trip to Sama Sal Farm which creates 400 jobs. During the inspection, he urged the officials to expand the farm area, to help the workers get their rights and to use the income from the farm for corporate social responsibility programmes in the area.
The Union Minister also inspected the No. 2 Sugar Mill (InnWaing) which can produce 400 tons of sugar per day. He also heard report on matters including plan to build more sugar mills, and stressed quality production, sufficient local consumption and export.
Also, the Union Minister inspected the Soap Production Plant (Mandalay), called for efforts for more production of quality soaps and provided cash assistance for the Plant staff. Also, in the meeting at Mandalay Region Industry Supervision and Inspection Department, the Union Minister urged the officials to catch up international procedures, rules and regulations for work safety and as well as advanced technology.
The Union Minister also inspected the No. 33 Heavy Industry in Kyaukse Industrial Zone, garment and shoes factories and household items factory (MinSu) and gave necessary instructions.
