Inspection of Tourist Attractions: MoHT UM inspected tourist attractions in Kalaw

The relevant departments, associations, and business operators are working together to keep Kalaw a clean and beautiful tourist destination.

On Tuesday, Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, visited Kalaw to inspect its tourist attractions, hotels, and tourism facilities.

During the inspection, Union Minister visited the Kalawe Glamping Adventure Tourism Site in NanThae Village and reviewed adventure, camping, leisure, and zip-line tourism. He urged the relevant officials to maintain high service standards, ensure tourist safety, develop youth, mountaineering, sports, and jungle tourism, and promote Kalaw to attract more domestic and foreign visitors.

They then visited the department-leased Kalaw Heritage Hotel, to inspect its facilities. The Union Minister instructed careful renovation of the historic building, improving lighting, cleaning, landscaping, and promoting it as a green hotel, while urging officials to work together to develop Kalaw as a tourist city.
