Inspection tour: Union Minister inspected rural development works

The launching ceremony of supplying water to 10 villages in Pinlaung Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South) implemented by the Department of Rural Development was held in the morning on 18th March at Wali Village with the attendance of the Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe and Shan State Chief Minister Dr. Kyaw Tun.

At the ceremony, the Union Minister and Chief Minister gave the remarks. Next, the Shan State (South) head officer of the department of rural development U Maung Maung Win clarified the work process to supply drinking water to the 10 villages of Pinlaung Township including Wali, Nan Pan Nyaungpin, Nan Pan Lone Pyin, Nan Pan Taung, Nan Pan Myauk, Thein Daung Dein, Phayagone, Hsaung Htan (South), Hsaung Htan (North) and BuuWa  Villages.

And a villager of BuuWa Village extended words of thanks. Then, the union minister U Hla Moe, Chief Minister Dr. Kyaw Tun, state ministers Police Brigadier General Tin Ko Ko, U Aung Kyi Win, chairman of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Administration Council U Khun Ye Htwe and permanent secretary of the ministry of cooperatives and rural development U Khant Zaw opened the water control bars to supply 10 villages collectively.  

Afterward, the union minister and party inspected the construction of agricultural products transportation road and the pilot project for supplying water using Solar system and making organic fertilizer from water hyacinth compost and the responsible persons explained the relevant sector.

Upon the clarification, the union minister instructed to collaborate with the state government and private entrepreneurs to extend the production. Later, the union minister met with the members of Shan State Government and discussed the extended plantation of sunflower, capital fund in collaboration with the ministry of agriculture, livestock and irrigation, input process, water supply with solar system and the Shan State Chief Minister discussed to cooperate with the departments to implement the projects.
