









Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, accompanied by officials, visited the Bago Region Sports Hall in Bago, on September 1.
At the hall, the Union Minister observed and encouraged the staff who were implementing the Pan-Khin Project (Phase 3) to assist local residents whose household population lists and citizenship scrutiny cards were damaged/lost, as well as those who had not yet received their citizenship scrutiny cards. He also observed the step-by-step process carried out by the staff through a One Stop Service to issue household population lists and citizenship scrutiny cards.
Additionally, he inspected the process of collecting biographic and biometric data through the e-ID system for those who had already received their citizenship scrutiny cards, and issuing them with a Unique ID number simultaneously.
The Union Minister warmly greeted the public who came to avail the services and instructed the responsible officials to fulfill the necessary requirements. Later, the Union Minister visited the Bago Township Staff Office’s Office, where he inspected the work being carried out by the staff and toured the office.
He provided necessary instructions and coordinated based on the explanations and reports presented by the responsible officials. Next, the Union Minister visited the construction site of the Department of Population Office under the Ministry in Bago.
After inspecting the site, he issued instructions regarding the ongoing work and coordinated necessary measures. From there, the Union Minister proceeded to the Bago Region Head Officer’s Office. In the office hall, Region Head Officer U San Aung explained the current work situations and requirements of the region, district, and township offices within Bago Region.
The Union Minister then coordinated necessary actions based on the reports, toured the office compound, inspected the facilities, and provided instructions to the responsible officials to meet the operational needs. After that, the Union Minister met with Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and officials at the reception hall of the Bago Region Government Office.
They discussed and coordinated necessary measures related to the work for the successful holding of the elections. In the afternoon, the Union Minister, along with Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, visited the Hlegu Township Staff-Officer’s Office in Yangon Region.
He inspected the work being carried out by the staff and toured the office. Based on the explanations and reports presented by the responsible officials, he issued necessary instructions and coordinated measures. He also provided support funds and food supplies for the staff.
Later, the Union Minister met with the Region Chief Minister and officials in the meeting hall of the Hlegu District Head Officer’s Office. They discussed and coordinated matters related to ensuring the accuracy of the confirmed population list for the correctness of the voter list, enabling all eligible voters to possess at least one type of identity card to cast their vote, and the scrutiny processes for candidates representing various parties.
