Inspection tour in Kayah State: SAC member opens Cultural Performing Arts Competition

Kayah State’s 24th Myanma Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition 2023 (State Level) was opened at the State hall in Loikaw on Tuesday morning. Member of the State Administration Council Porel Aung Thein, Kayah State Chief Minsiter U Zaw Myo Tin and the Region Control Commander formally opened the State level competition.

Later, the state Chief Minister gave a speech. The entertainment troupes then performed dances and songs and attendees enjoyed the entertainments.

The SAC member and the state chief minister presented honouraria for entertainment and dance troupes and cordially greeted contestants and their families. They then met Panel of Judges and Jurors of the competition and called for systematic selection of qualified contestants.

Kayah State’s 24th Myanma Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition  (State Level) will be held from 12th to 14th September and a total of 369 contestants are participating in the competition.

On the same day, the SAC member together with the Kayah State Chief Minister and officials visited Kandara Wady monastery in Loikaw and received the Five Precepts from the State Ovada Sariya Thiri Mingalar Pon (Haw Gyi) Monastery Sayadaw and donated rice, edible oil and offertories.

They then looked into construction of Kalyar Na Hterawatha two-storey new building at the monastery compound and donated cash for constructing the new building. From there, the SAC member and party visited agriculture and livestock high school (Chikae) and viewed student learning.

The SAC member then met departmental officials, principal and teachers and gave a speech. At the meeting, officials reported on their sector-wise implementations and the State Chief Minister discussed plans to provide assistance by the State Government for the agriculture and livestock high school (Chikae).

Officials then reported construction of 2-storey school building and the SAC member and party then viewed around school building, agriculture plantations and livestock farms and coordinated essentials.

In the afternoon, the SAC member, the State Chief Minister and officials met members of Kaehtoeboe Board of Trustees and displaced people living HtaeThama ward at the Mawdudee Boe Hoe hall and explained about the efforts of the SAC for all round development of the state with added momentum, development of regions and states and ensuring peace, stability and law enforcement.

The SAC member stressed the needs on human resource development of the youths, holding a free and fair multi-party democratic general election and casting votes by all eligible voters.

The State Chief Minister said endeavors for the state development as well as cooperation for regional peace and stability. Later, the SAC member presented cash for Kaehtoeboe Board of Trustees and the State Chief Minister provided cash assistance for displaced persons in HtaeThama ward.

After that, attendees reported difficulties and the needs on which the State Chief Minister supplemented the reports and the SAC member coordinated essentials.
