Inspection tour: Kachin State Chief Minister inspected regional dev. Works

The Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan together with the state minister, senior military officials and departmental officials inspected Bamaw District to carry out the regional development, agriculture and livestock breeding sector and measures for containment of COVID-19 pandemic and also met with the rectors, faculty members and newly recruited teachers of Universities in Bamaw District at the convocation hall of Bamaw University in 12 December.  

At the meeting, the chief minister said that the education plays the vital role for the development of the country and it is a foundation of thinking, perspective, reasoning, rule of law, peace and stability. Universities are the important places to turn out the human resources and all are urged to collaborate for the all-round development of the universities.

Next, the rectors of Bamaw University, Technical University and University of Computer Science, Pro-Rectors and principals of Government Technical High School clarified the facts about the universities and school and requirements and the chief minister and state minister provided 2 million Kyats for half million Kyats to each, inspected the construction works of library, school building and spectator roles of football ground and instructed to carry out cleaning works on every Saturday.

Then, the chief minister and party visited vegetable farms in Nant Phar Village, cordially met with the farmers, tended necessaries, provided agricultural educating books and agricultural input materials and viewed the thriving of growing vegetables. Next, they also visited Kyaw Htoo Paing (family)’s small egg laying duck farm and Ngwe Hnin mushroom farm and provided veterinary medicines to facilitate the livestock breeding.

Afterward, the chief minister and party visited Shwe Kyi Nar Ta Gun Taing Monastery, paid obeisance to the presiding Sayadaw, inquired religious matters, presented 1.5 million Kyats of cash donation and met with the members of Bamaw Join-hands Philanthropic Association who are giving care and treatments to the COVID-19 patients and provided half million Kyats of cash assistance to the association.

The chief minister also met IDPs in Bamaw Township and provided rice, packages of instant noodle and sport wares.  Then, they visited Nursing Training School and met with health personnel and nursing trainees, gave necessary instructions and provided 1.5 million Kyats of cash assistance including 1 million for the principal and health personnel and half million for the training school.

Next, the chief minister and party joined with the staff members of general administration department in Chrismas praying and presented Chrimas donation and gifts for the religious leaders.
