




The Ministry of Education, Department of Basic Education, is currently conducting a four-month Diploma in Education and Pedagogy (Dip.EP) training program for primary-level teachers serving in basic education schools who have not yet obtained an educational diploma. Today, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Lwin and officials observed and encouraged the training sessions at Basic Education High Schools No. (1, 2, 3, 4) in Magway city.
This training program is designed for in-service teachers who lack an educational diploma and will run from March 24, 2025, to May 30, 2025, spanning approximately two and a half months of coursework followed by 43 days of practical teaching, totaling around four months.
During their visit to BEHS (1, 2, 3, 4) in Magway city, the Chief Minister and his delegation delivered words of encouragement to the participating teachers.
It has been reported that a total of 2,454 primary-level teachers from basic education schools across Magway Region are attending the training. The program is being held at eight locations, including Magway Education Degree College, Basic Education High School No. (1, 2, 3, 4) in Magway, BEHS (2) in Chauk, BEHS (1) in Minbu and Pakokku Education Degree College.
The training is being conducted by around 100 lecturers from higher education degree colleges under the Ministry of Education, along with 64 PhD and M.Ed holders from the Department of Basic Education.
