








The Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, accompanied by the relevant officials, visited training sessions in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on September 22.
The Union Minister and officials observed the training of Judo and Boxing teams currently in camp preparation for the 33rd SEA Games and inspected the repair progress of boxing, futsal, and tennis training venues damaged by the Mandalay earthquake.
First, the Union Minister and officials inspected the boxing training hall at the Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex in Nay Pyi Taw. They observed the intensive training preparations by athletes across various weight categories aiming to compete at full strength in the 33rd SEA Games, as well as the ongoing repairs to the boxing, futsal, and tennis training facilities affected by the earthquake. Necessary guidance and instructions were provided. Next, the Union Minister and officials visited the Judo training hall at the Nay Pyi Taw Sports Training Center (Gold Camp). They observed technical training sessions of the judo athletes, including the practice of Nage-no-kata (for men) and Ju-no-kata (for women). The Union Minister met with coaches and athletes and offered necessary guidance.
The Union Minister and officials then visited the multi-purpose hall at the Gold Camp, where they observed lesson deliveries in various subjects as part of the Office Skills Training Course (Batch 1/2025). Further instructions were given as needed.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister inspected hotels within the State Guest House compound in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory. He checked the repair and renovation status of earthquake-affected hotel buildings, rooms, and halls, preparations for receiving guests, and readiness to provide services. Based on reports from general managers and responsible officials of the hotels, he provided necessary guidance and instructions.
