Inspection: SG Inspects Myanmar Aerospace Engineering University

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspected the Myanmar Aerospace Engineering University in Meiktila on Wednesday afternoon.

Union minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw reported on the progress of Myanmar’s earth observation for the launching of the satellite, sending of scholarship students abroad under the transfer of technique programme, and construction of the satellite base.

Also, acting rector of the University reported on teaching, construction of buildings at the university, subject-wise training courses, assignment of faculty members, job opportunities for students and the plan of the university to develop human resources.

In his response, the Senior General explained collaborative efforts of relevant departments for the satellite project, sending of scholarship students to have necessary technologies, systematic construction of the buildings, prioritized appointment, training for students to have skills to be applied in the practical fields, and provision of teaching aid.

He also stressed that technologies taught with funds of the State must be efficiently applied at home.

Tatmadaw will help the university fulfill the shortage of demonstrators in academic matters, he added. The Senior General also viewed around the university.
