Inspection of road construction: Paving asphalt on road section inspected

The Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant accompanied by deputy minister U Win PE and officials inspected paving asphalt on 3084 feet long 4 lanes road section which is accessible to the Buddha Park where the Maravijaya Buddha Image which would be the highest marble stone sculptured Buddha image in the world is being built in Dakkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw, from mile-post 204/1 furlong of Yangon-Mandalay highway.

During inspection of paving asphalt on the road section, the union minister instructed the responsible officials to meet the quality and standard, complete within scheduled time, take into account of maintenance after paving the asphalt and to supervise in the construction of traffic island and drainage to be systematic.

Next, the deputy minister and responsible official from the Supervisory Committee for maintenance of the Highway clarified the plan to expand the road section connected to the entrance of the Maravijaya Buddha Image from mile-post 204/1 furlong of Yangon-Mandalay highway to four lanes from two lanes with the map and charts.

Then, the union minister instructed to erect the road safety signals and directions and notice signboard and pay special attention for the public safety during the period under construction.
