Inspection of PU (Kyaing Tong): MoST UM inspected Polytechnic University (Kyaing Tong)

Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, accompanied by Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Zaw Myint, visited the Polytechnic University (Kyaing Tong) and the Faculty of Computing in Kyaing Tong, Shan State (East) on January 19. Upon arrival, the Rector and responsible officials provided a briefing using a scale model on the ground floor of the main building.

The Union Minister and officials proceeded to inspect classrooms, practical laboratories, the gymnasium, and the site for the football field.

Following this, the Union Minister and officials visited the project site for the Government Technical High School (Kyaing Tong), where he conducted an inspection and provided necessary guidance.

The Union Minister and officials then returned to inspect further facilities at Polytechnic University (Kyaing Tong), including, ongoing teaching and learning activities in classrooms and practical labs, workshops and the arrangement of teaching aids for various academic departments, the progress of the football field construction, and potential land areas for the expansion of new buildings.

Afterwards, the Union Minister held a meeting with the Rector, Pro-Rector, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and staff in the university’s assembly hall. During the session, the Union Minister coordinated and fulfilled the requirements presented by the staff to ensure smooth operations, it’s learnt.
