






On the morning of September 30, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and members of the Region Government inspected the preparations for the Thadingyut Festival Sale and Music Performance Event, where MSME products and regional goods will be sold, at the People's Square in Yangon.
During the inspection, Yangon Region Minister for Development Affairs U Bo Htay, Minister for Economic Affairs U Myo Myint Aung, and responsible officials explained the ongoing work to hold the sale and music performance event.
Following the explanations, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein instructed the responsible officials at various levels to collectively assist in fulfilling the needs of the individuals who will be selling at the festival sale, to set up restrooms for festival visitors, and to arrange fire safety and healthcare teams. He also directed them to prepare decorative lights for the festival days and to address any necessary matters promptly and in real-time. He then inspected the preparatory works and decorative lights setups.
This festival sale will be held from October 4 to October 7. Approximately 359 stalls will be set up, including products from industrial zones within Yangon Region, MSME entrepreneurs, the Department of Small-Scale Industries, the Department of Cooperatives, the Yangon Region Investment Committee, regional products from Regions and States, food stalls, and restaurants. During the festival days, donors will provide daily Satuditha food offerings, and performances by famous artists from the film, theatre, and music fields can be enjoyed.
It is learned that to facilitate easy transportation for festival-goers, shuttle buses have been arranged. With floral decorations, decorative lights, and fireworks displays, everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the event happily.
