







In order to ensure that hotel operations in the Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw can function normally after the earthquake period and that guests can stay comfortably and smoothly during the peak travel season, relevant departments and business operators are collaborating to implement necessary measures.
In the morning on September 1st, Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, along with Deputy Minister U Phyo Zaw Soe and responsible officials, inspected hotels in the Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw.
During the inspection, general managers and responsible personnel from the hotels explained the current situation regarding the repair and renovation of buildings damaged by the earthquake, the availability of undamaged buildings and rooms for accommodating travelers, the preparations made to provide hotel services, and the status of solar power system installations.
Based on the explanations provided, the Union Minister instructed the responsible officials to ensure that guest rooms are not only fully equipped with hotel-related amenities but also display service-related symbols, signs, and announcements. He also emphasized that hotels must strictly comply with guest reporting systems and strive to develop hotel operations in accordance with the standards set by the ministry and international standards.
