Inspection of Forest Plantations: MoNREC UM inspected forest plantations in Magway

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, and accompanying officials inspected the status of forest plantations in Magway Township in the afternoon on September 16.

The Union Minister, first visited the 10-acre community firewood plantation (1/2025) planted during the 2025 monsoon season near Mone Chaung Pauk village and the 20-acre community firewood plantation (1/2024) from the 2024 monsoon season.

He inspected the growth and success of the trees and gave instructions based on the officials' reports. Next, the Union Minister inspected a plantation of a group of neem trees along the Magway-Kanpyar-Natmauk road, planted for roadside greening, and gave necessary instructions.

He then inspected similar plantations along the Magway-Yenangyaung road. The Union Minister also checked on the growth of the 3/2025 special green plantation within the Daungne Extended Reserved Forest, which was planted during the 2025 monsoon season. He instructed officials to continue long-term maintenance to ensure the trees' survival.

Finally, the Union Minister visited the Myoma Forest Nursery in Magway to inspect the saplings and gave further instructions.
