Inspection of Factories : MoL UM inspected factories in Hlaingthaya

On 27th September, Union Minister for Labor U Aung Kyaw Hoe accompanied by concerned officials met with the employers and employees from Myanmar Rui Xin Shoes Col, Ltd and Sincere Season (Myanmar) Garment Co., Ltd in Emerald Green Industrial Zone, Hlaing Thaya (West) Township.

During the meeting, the Union Minister instructed on ensuring serene work environment, production capacity enhancement, safety, health as well as collaboration between employers and employees and social security benefits. The Union Minister elaborated on singing of employment agreement in accordance with labour law and procedures and formation of respective labor organizations in line with the 2011 labor organization law, ensuring the labour rights and good relation between employers and employees.

He also stressed the Workplace Coordinating Committees (WCC), Workplace Safety and Health Committees for the strict adherence to existing labour laws and procedures and called for the sustainable cooperation among employers, instructors and employees to secure peaceful workplace and friendly relations in order to improve production capacity.

Then, the Union Minister and officials oversaw the health care service provisions organized by social security association for the workers using Mobile Medical Unit.
