






Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by high-ranking military official visited the East-Central Command to inspect regional security and meet with military families in the morning of January 20.
Upon arrival at the command, the Senior General heard a briefing by the Commander, Major General Soe Myat Htut, regarding command-related data and the progress of operational tasks within the region. The Senior General provided necessary guidance in response to the presentation.
In the afternoon, the Senior General met with officers, ranks, and families of the Kho Lam ခိုလမ် Station at Aung Zeya Hall. During his address, the Senior General stressed that the East-Central Command area is home to a diverse group of ethnic nationalities and is geographically significant for the nation, the primary responsibility of the Tatmadaw is national defense and security.
Command leaders must constantly evaluate and improve the capabilities of their units and the individual skills of the personnel. He highlighted that Phases 1 and 2 of the 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election have been successfully completed, with Phase 3 set to take place in the coming days.
The results of Phases 1 and 2 have already been transparently announced with detailed statistics. Crucially, he announced that the Hluttaw will be convened this coming March, and the state responsibilities will be officially transferred to the winning government in accordance with established procedures.
Following his remarks, the Senior General inquired about the needs of the personnel and presented food supplies and gifts to the families, which were accepted by the Commander of the Command. After the meeting, the Senior General and officials cordially greeted the attending officers, rankss, and their families, it’s reported.
