Inspection Of Development Tasks: Union Ministers Took Inspection Tour In Rakhine State

Chairman of Peace, Stability and Development tasks coordination committee, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt. Gen. Tun Tun Naung and committee members inspected IDP camps, camps to avoid armed conflicts and re-acceptance camps and provided assistances for IDPs.

The union ministers led by the union minister for border affairs Lt. Gen. Tun Tun Naung and Rakhine State Chief Minister arrived at Kyaukphyu and heard the report of Kyaukphyu district administrator regarding the running of Kyauk-Ta-Lone IDP camps and the arrangements to move the camps and the union minister fulfilled necessaries.

Then, the land plot in which the camp to be moved was inspected, coordinated requirements reported by the departmental officials and people residing in the camp and cordially greeted the camp people.

Next, the union minister and party arrived at Ann Township, met with the staff members and trainee women at the Vocational Training School of Domestic Science for Women and inspected the training school. On 20th December, the union minister and party met with the people sheltering at the camp in the in-door stadium of Ann Township, heard the report of Ann Township administrator in connection with the people sheltering in the camps to avoid the armed conflicts and gave instructions on current facilitation and plans to be implemented in the future.

After giving remarks by the union ministers and chief minister provided 999 bags of rice for one month for the over 3000 population sheltering in 3 camps.

The union ministers also met with the people in Pe-pa-Don sheltering camp from armed conflict and pledged to provide necessaries to return home as quickly as possible. The union ministers also inspected completion of construction sheltering camp to avoid armed conflict and gave necessary instruction.

The union ministers left Ann for Taunggoke and provided cash donation for 41 senior citizens in Shwe Metta home for the aged and presented cash assistance for the students in Mahawthadar free private high school. At the Thandwe, the union minister inspected the construction works of new community hall at the platform of Shwe San Taw pagoda and offered offertories to the presiding Sayadaw. 

The union minister and party also inspected a land plot to be constructed the Vocational Training School of Domestic Science for Women in the morning on December 21. Then, the union ministers and chief minister held coordination meeting with the Peace, Stability and Development tasks coordination committee in Rakhine State, the national level committees for resettlement of IDPs and closing of IDP camps and plans to be implemented in the future.
