Inspection of (CORS) NPT2 : MONREC DM inspected (CORS) NPT2

Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Dr. Thaung Naing Oo, accompanied by officials, inspected the Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) NPT2 established near Milepost 201/4 of the Yangon–Mandalay Expressway on the morning of August 29.

The Director-General and officials from the Survey Department gave a briefing on the station and related matters. Following the briefing, the Deputy Minister gave necessary guidance and instructions.

Next, the Deputy Minister visited the Training School of the Environmental Conservation Department, located near the Nay Pyi Taw Ring Road in Dekkhinathiri Township, which was damaged by the Mandalay earthquake in 2025.

He toured the training school and listened to explanations provided by the officials concerned. The Deputy Minister instructed them to ensure that renovation and reconstruction works are completed on time within the designated period and in accordance with quality standards, and to make arrangements to resume training courses to promote the development of human resources, it’s learnt.
