






Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tun Ohn made inspection at Bagan Archaeological Zone on January 7th.
The Deputy Minister and party met with the trainees, attending the Geographical Information System (GIS) Training, being conducted at Bagan Ancient Archaeological Museum from December 12th 2021 to January 14th 2022.
A total of 16 trainees from the departments under the Ministry are attending the training, which aims to promote map drafting process to support the research works and to establish a system for collecting the geographical data.
The Deputy Minister and party later inspected the palace of Khing Anawrahta and King Kyan Sittha in Old Bagan City, and instructed for systematic displays of the excavated items from the old palace at the Site Museum for the public observance.
He also stressed to follow the COVID-19 preventive measures, issued by the Ministry of Health. The Deputy Minister and party later proceeded to Min Nan Thu Village, and observed the water storage system, utilization of water, research work for water resources and arrangements for proper flow of water.
