Inspection of ACC Sub-Office: ACC Chairman inspected ACC Sub-Office in Mandalay

The Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission U Lwin Oo, inspected the commission's sub-office in Mandalay and met with staff members in the meeting hall on Monday.

At the meeting, after individual introductions from the staff, the sub-office director gave a presentation. He discussed the establishment of the sub-office, the construction of the office building and staff housing, the organizational structure and staffing, the implementation of public education and investigation activities, and the damage to the office building and staff housing caused by the earthquake.

Following the presentation, ACC Chairman U Lwin Oo gave a speech, stating that the Mandalay sub-office has been operating for more than six years. He emphasized the importance of staff members adhering to the commission's Code of Conduct. He noted that the commission is carrying out its national duty to fight corruption through three main pillars: public awareness, prevention, and investigation. He stressed that public awareness activities must be conducted nationwide, including educational talks and youth discussion forums at union ministries, regions, states, universities, and technical schools, as well as through "Edutainment" programs. He specifically urged the staff to help ensure the success of the upcoming election by cooperating and assisting in any way they can.

The Chairman then provided eggs, cooking oil, and food items to the staff of the sub-office, which were received by the sub-office director.

Next, the Chairman inspected the sub-office building, observing the staff as they carried out their duties and assessing the damage to the office and staff housing from the earthquake.

He also visited the adjacent land to be transferred from the Ministry of Industry to the commission, where he gave instructions for the necessary work to be carried out.

Then, the Chairman inspected the staff housing, warmly greeting the staff and their families. He also observed their personal gardens and gave instructions for any necessary improvements to be made.
