






Deputy Minister for Transport U Aung Myaing, accompanied by officials from Myanma Railways, inspected the condition of the railway tracks along the Yangon–Toe Kyaung Kalay–Dagon University section and the Toe Kyaung Kalay–Thilawa section in Yangon Region, as well as the ongoing renovation of Dagon University Station, from August 28 to 29.
He also inspected the ongoing upgrading and rehabilitation of railway tracks and stations along the Yangon–Pyay railway section.
First, on the morning of August 28, the Deputy Minister and officials, together with officials from Myanma Railways, travelled by RBE train from Yangon Central Railway Station and inspected the condition of the railway tracks along the Yangon–Toe Kyaung Kalay–Dagon University section, the ongoing renovation of Dagon University Station, and the condition of the tracks along the Toe Kyaung Kalay–Thilawa section.
He gave necessary instructions and guidance to the officials concerned.
Then, on August 29, the Deputy Minister and officials travelled aboard Train No. 73 Yangon–Pyay DEMU express passenger train departing from Yangon Central Railway Station, accompanied by officials from Myanma Railways.
During the journey, they inspected the use of Automatic Leveling, Lining & Tamping Machines (ALLTMs) for track lifting, packing/tamping, leveling, and upgrading and rehabilitation works, and gave necessary instructions and guidance, it’s reported.
