Infrastructure Projects : Union Minister inspects power projects in Yangon

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun visited the ongoing power infrastructure projects in the Hlaingthaya Township, Yangon on August 30th.

He inspected the relocation of power lines along the Yangon-Pathein highway. During the inspection, officials provided updates on the relocation of 33 kV and 11 kV power lines to new locations and assured that the projects would be completed on time. The Union Minister emphasized safety, timely completion, and proper handling of materials.

The Union Minister also visited the construction site of the 500 kV Hlaingthaya (West University) substation, where the project is currently 85% complete. He heard reports on the progress of control building construction, the installation of transformers, and the assembly of switchgear. In addition, the Union Minister met with new generation engineers involved in the projects, encouraging them to gain practical experience and improve their technical skills.
