






While in Shan State, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected TV Relay Station in Taunggyi, on Tuesday.
The Union Minister heard reports by officials and called for maintenance of machines for long-term durability. He also discussed plans to convert with DVB-T2 system at the TV relay stations that are originally broadcasting through Analogue system in Shan State (East) and (South) and Kayah State and the installation of DTH system if there is a limitation.
Later, the Union Minister viewed around the relay station and greeted the staff and presented cash assistance. At the Nayung Shwe Township IPRD office, the Union Minister and party looked into the display of mini-museum and wall publications as well as practicing of e-library system in the children’s reading room and library tasks.
During the meeting with staff, the Union Minister said that Nyaung Shwe is the popular touristic town so that systematic arrangements should be made to showcase the traditions and cultural heritage of Shan nationals.
The IPRD Offices and libraries have already been opened in every district and township where youth friendly programs and activities should be supported as the youth-based center.
The Union Minister provided cash assistance for the libraries and urged officials to provide more interesting and useful books so that young people can get better access of general knowledge for their careers and job opportunities provided cash assistance.
