Industrial Development: EV manufacturing and Farm Implement Fair

On October 2nd, Union Minister for Industry and Vice Chairman of the National Level Leading Committee on Development of Electric Vehicles and Related Businesses Dr. Charlie Than visited Myat Myint Maung Co, Ltd. in Bago industrial zone.

There, the Union Minister inspected the EV manufacturing of the company using SKD system and met with the officials at the meeting room.

During the meeting, the Union Minister said the countries across the world are seeking ways to use alternative fuel sources since the global warming, disasters and water and air pollutions pose great impact on the socio-economic status of global population.

He pointed out that manufacturing and using EVs is one of the measures for these efforts. He urged all stakeholders to carry out the tasks under established rules and procedures and strive to produce and assemble spare parts of EVs locally with set standards for the development of region’s MSME sector.

In the evening, the Union Minister attended the opening ceremony of Agricultural Machinery Fair and Competition together with Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, region ministers and officials.

The Union Minister and party viewed around the display Agricultural Machineries. The fair is scheduled to be held from October 2nd to 6th and a total of 83 agricultural machineries are put on sales, along with the demonstration on the capacity of the agricultural machines.
