Industrial Development: Development of industrial zones and meeting Russian officials

Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than attended a forum on enhancing industrial zones’ capacity at the SME Center in Yangon on Thursday. He highlighted that current laws and regulations will support industries and industrial zones development effectively.

After the forum, Dr. Charlie Than met with a delegation led by Mr. Sergey A. Kopylov, Deputy Director of Tyazhpromexport Co., Ltd. (TPE) from Russia. They discussed accelerating operations at the HRPS heat power plant, reopening the Romelt ironworks, and technical and governmental support for joint industrial projects.
