Indonesians parade 100-metre flag ahead of Independence Day

Military officers and Civilians took part in a parade where a 100-meter-long flag was showcased in Bogor, in the West Java province, ahead of the upcoming Indonesia Independence Day. The Independence Day which falls on August 17 each year.

In 1945, Indonesia declared its independence from the Dutch colonial rule. The day was designated a national holiday by government decree in 1946. Patriotic and cultural parades, red and white artworks, and street decorations adorn Indonesian towns in August.
