Indonesian Government allocates funds to USD 4.59 billion for 2024 election

The Indonesian government has allocated funds worth 4.59 billion USD for 2024 elections in the state budget. Some of the funds have been used since 2022.
The Finance Minister said the government divided the fund allocation for 2024 elections into three year-period at the press conference. Indonesia will hold presidential and legislative elections on February 14 next year. The General Election Commission is scheduled to open registration for presidential and vice-presidential candidates next month.
