Indonesia-Papua New Guinea business forum meeting

Indonesian President Joko Widodo attended the first business forum meeting between Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, held at APEC HAUS in Port Moresby. 

President Jokowi encouraged the discussion of the Indonesia - Papua New Guinea preferential trade agreement. Indonesia will support the connect P-N-G program, one of which is through the Indonesian state owned construction firm which has experience in several countries. 

The president also said that Indonesia and Papua New Guinea have considerable economic potential, with the border between the two countries stretching more than 800 kilometers. The two countries have agreed to the drafting of a roadmap for development cooperation for the next five years.
