Indian Navy training ship INS Sudarshini concludes Italy visit

The Indian Navy’s sail training ship, INS Sudarshini, departed Livorno, Italy, on Saturday after a successful port call aimed at strengthening maritime ties between India and Italy.

During the visit, Indian and Italian naval personnel participated in professional exchanges and cross-training activities. Senior Italian officials also interacted with the ship’s crew and trainees, reinforcing cooperation between the two navies.

As part of the training programme, Indian sea trainees visited ITS Virginio Fasan and the Italian Naval Academy, while Italian naval personnel toured INS Sudarshini, fostering professional cooperation and mutual understanding. The visit also included a deck reception attended by naval officers, local authorities and diplomatic representatives.
