India & Uzbekistan exchange several MoUs

India and Uzbekistan exchanged several MoUs, agreements and Letters of Intent to strengthen cooperation across key sectors, including geology and mineral resources, archival affairs, Ayurveda and traditional medicine, higher education, scientific research, and economic and financial dialogue.

The two sides also extended their Cultural Exchange Programme and signed a 2026 to 2028 tourism cooperation programme. An agreement on environmental protection and an LoI for conservation and restoration of the ancient Buddhist site of Fayaz Tepa in Termez were also exchanged.

Delivering the joint press statement, Modi said that India and Uzbekistan have successfully completed 15 years of partnership, and that it has been decided to transform the ties into a Comprehensive Strategic partnership.
