India joins global health talks at World Health Assembly in Geneva

India’s Health Minister JP Nadda is visiting Switzerland to participate in the 79th World Health Assembly focused on the future of global healthcare systems.

The six-day assembly, being held in Geneva, is centred around the theme “Reshaping Global Health: A Shared Responsibility.” The event has brought together health ministers and public health experts from more than 165 countries to discuss building resilient, inclusive and future-ready healthcare systems.

Discussions at the 79th World Health Assembly will focus on key global challenges including emerging disease outbreaks, climate change, air quality concerns and healthcare pressures arising from shrinking budgets and geopolitical divisions.
