India holds virtual summit of developing nations

India on Thursday convened a virtual summit of more than 100 developing countries to develop a uniform strategy for seeking help for economic woes.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the summit virtually, saying it was clear the world is in a state of crisis and it is difficult to predict how long this state of instability will last.

Stressing that developing countries with three-fourths of humanity have the largest stakes in the future. India is steering the Group of 20 leading rich and developing nations’ summit in 2023.
