India, Argentina move to deepen trade and investment partnership

India and Argentina held the 4th Joint Trade Committee meeting in Buenos Aires on Tuesday, to expand their bilateral trade partnership as overall trade crosses 6 billion dollars.

The talks were co-chaired by Indian Commerce Secretary and Argentine Secretary for International Economic Relations. Both nations agreed to increase cooperation in lithium mining investments and exploring liquefied natural gas supplies. Discussion also included expanding the existing India-Mercosur Preferential Trade Agreement to cut import barriers.
