India’s PM Modi inaugurates SEMICON India 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the fifth edition of SEMICON India 2026 on Thursday in Dwarka of New Delhi. Speaking on the event, Modi stated that India has entered the second phase of its semiconductor journey, aiming to become a trusted global hub for chip manufacturing. The event, being held from September 17 to 19, will focus on industry engagement, policy direction and international partnerships.
