Import and Export Sector: Imports and exports conditions via border posts

In 2022-2023 fiscal year, the foreign trade has been conducted via Kampaiti border trade posts with a total of more than 44 million USD and exports and imports worth a total of more than 73 million USD through Lweje border trade posts were made from 1st April to 4th November this year.

Director, Ministry of Commerce, Min Min, said " The imports via Kampaiti and Lweje border trade posts include railway accessories, automobiles and spare parts, iron and steel construction materials, televisions, bicycle & motor cycle spare parts, machinery and equipment, air conditioners, engines, tractors, computers accessories, fertilizers, plastic raw materials, leather and synthetic leather, chemical cotton threads, livestock products, dry cell batteries, electric bulbs, lamps, cotton fabrics and textiles and medical products, household utensils were imported. For exports, rice, broken rice, corn, beans and pulses, sesame, cashews, tissue banana, sugar cane, rubber, dried and raw chilies, dried prunes and mangoes, cardamom and butter seeds, rattan, minerals and mineral ores, water melons are exports through border posts."

Through Kampaiti border posts, exports worth more than 38 million USD, imports worth more than 6million USD have been made and more than 48 million USD of exports and more than 25 million USD of imports via Lweje border posts have been conducted.

At present, Myanmar has been conducting border trade with foreign countries through Muse, Lweje, Chinshwehaw, Kampaiti ,Kengtung, Sittway, Maungtaw, Tachilek, Myawaddy and Kawthaung border posts and so on.
