IMF concludes visit in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has received a significant vote of confidence from the International Monetary Fund following a high-level meeting between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and an IMF delegation at the Presidential Secretariat.

The visiting representatives, who arrived on the 22nd to assess the devastation caused by Cyclone “Ditwah,” spent the past week touring the island to witness the impact firsthand and engage directly with affected communities.

During briefing, the delegation highly commended the government’s swift relief measures, infrastructure development, and commitment to rebuilding lives amidst the disaster, noting that citizens they encountered widely praised the administration’s handling of the crisis.
