Illegal Trade: Illegal timbers worth over 9 million kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On April 13, 14 and 15, illegal timbers worth over 9 million Kyats were seized in Hlegu and Taikkyi townships of Yangon Region, in Katha Township of Sagaing Region and in Bago, Taungoo, Pyay and Thayawaddy districts of Bago Region.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
