Illegal Trade: Illegal timbers worth over 3 million Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On April 10, 11 and 17, over 24 tonnes of illegal timbers worth over 3 million Kyats were seized in Ann and Taungup townships of Rakhine State and in Bago, Taungoo and Pyay districts of Bago Region.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
