Illegal Trade: Illegal stuff, timber worth over 220 mln Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 8th, 9th and 10th of November, illegal motorbike parts, foodstuffs, feedstuffs and timber worth over 220 million Kyats were seized at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint and at the Myawaddy (OSS) trade zone as well as in Minbya, Taungup, Kyaukphyu and Myothit townships and in Toungoo and Nyaunglebin districts. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
