Illegal Trade: Illegal medicines, goods, timber seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

From the 18th to the 20th of November, illegal medicines, foodstuffs, car parts, machine parts, computer parts, used mobiles, motorbike tyres, used bicycles, teak and hardwood worth over 1 billion Kyats were seized in Dagon township of Yangon Region, at the Kyinsankyawt checkpoint in Shan State, at the Yangon International Airport, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Combined Checkpoint, at the Myawady (OSS) Trade Zone and in Toungoo and Nyaunglebin districts. 

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
