Illegal Trade: Illegal Items Worth Over 222 Million Kyats Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade. On April 4, a truck with illegal agricultural products worth over 218 million Kyats was seized at YayPu Checkpoint in Shan State.

Also, on April 5, illegal drinks worth over 2 million Kyats and over 2 tons of illegal timber worth over 600,000 Kyats were seized at MaYanChaung  Checkpoint in Mon State and Katha Township of Sagaing Region. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
