Illegal Trade: Illegal items, motorcycles, timber, teak seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 24th, 25th and 26th of June, illetgal cement bags, consumer goods, foodstuffs, unregistered motorcycles, undeclared car tyres and turbo chargers, undocumented auto spare parts and illegal timber and teak were seized at the ThinganNyinaung checkpoint, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint, at the Myanmar Industrial Port’s container checkpoint, at the Mayanchaung checkpoint and also in Tamu township and in Bago and Thayawaddy districts.

In total, illegal items, motorcycles, timber and teak were seized on the 24th, 25th and 26th of June. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
