Illegal Trade: Illegal Goods, Timbers and Vehicles Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 13th and 17thof May,undeclared construction tools, illegal timbers and pure diesel oil and an unregistered vehicle were seized at the Myanmar Industrial Port Container Terminal Checkpoint, in the forest reserve areas of Bago and Toungoo districts and in Kanbalu and Monywa townships.

In total, illegal goods, timbers and unregistered vehicle worth over 279 million Kyats were seized on the 13th and 17th of May. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
