Illegal Trade: Illegal Goods And Timber Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 29th and 31st of July and the 1st and 3rd of August, illegal garment and construction materials, ironwood, sawn timber, timber, electronic products, illegal teak and hardwood were seized at the Myanmar International Terminal (Thilawa) and in Ngaphe Township of Minbu District, in the East Yoma forest reserve of Thayet District, at the Yangon International Airport as well as in Bago and Toungoo districts. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
