Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and motorcycle seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 28th and 29th of July, illegal clothes and consumer goods, rice mill spare parts, floor carpets, handbags and an unlicensed motorcycle were seized at the Container Checkpoint of the Myanmar Industrial Port in Yangon Region and also in Mon State, in Bago Region, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Joint Checkpoint in Kayin State and in Kanbalu Township of Sagaing Region.

In total, illegal goods and an unlicensed motorcycle worth 155 million Kyats were seized. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
